Leading the field of signal processing through research, education, and professional networking.
About IEEE SPS (Global)
The IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) is the world’s premier association for signal processing engineers and industry professionals. Founded in 1948, it is the first society of the IEEE.
SPS members are the architects of the digital world, focusing on the theory and application of filtering, coding, transmitting, estimating, detecting, analyzing, recognizing, synthesizing, recording, and reproducing signals. This technology underpins everything from mobile communications to medical imaging and radar.
Global Reach
- Conferences like ICASSP, ICIP, and Interspeech
- Top-tier Journals (IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing)
- Standards for Audio, Video, and Multimedia
Chapter Highlights
- Established in December 2021
- Strong focus on DSP, Image Processing & AI
- Active collaboration with ISRO/NRSC
SPS at NSAKCET
The IEEE Signal Processing Society Student Branch Chapter at NSAKCET functions under the visionary guidance of our Faculty Advisor, Ms. Rahmath Unnisa.
Our mission is to foster a deep understanding of signal processing technologies. We provide a platform for students to experiment with DSP algorithms, audio/video processing, and machine learning through hands-on workshops, seminars by experts, and regular industrial visits.
